In a noisy world, the cultivation of quiet may feel like a luxury you do not have. But it is also vital to your spiritual life. When we spend our days distracted by social media, news, entertainment, and jam-packed schedules, we make it nearly impossible to experience the kind of thought life that allows us to grow into the people God created us to be—to become more and more like Jesus. We're too busy and distracted to notice the people and situations God has placed in our path for our spiritual benefit.

Reclaiming Quiet is your invitation to discover the profound joy of resisting our cultural obsession with distraction and instead cultivating a life of holy attention. With practical strategies to add stillness, listening, and rest into your daily rhythms, this book shows you how to

- care for your inner life

- listen to the voice of God in the everyday

- stay grounded in the now while looking with hope and expectation to the future

You're more than a viewer, a user, or a consumer. You are a child of God, a recipient of his grace, a disciple who is seeking to follow him more closely. It's time to reclaim all that. It's time to seek out some holy quiet.

Throughout this book, I found myself wishing for a more poetic touch. The complex vocabulary made it challenging for me to fully immerse myself in the text. However, one line stood out to me profoundly: "In the quiet, it doesn't have to be joy and full of insight—it can be grief." I wish I could quote it perfectly because it resonated so deeply.

Although I struggle with grammar and expression, I have to say that the final two chapters were life-changing. They brought everything together in a way that profoundly impacted me.

This book felt like snuggling up next to a fire in your pajamas with a cozy blanket, slippers, and favorite cup of tea while biting into the most decadent piece of chocolate. My heart feels so warm, encouraged, safe & quieted upon completing this book. Thanking God for giving these words to Sarah to share with the world. I’ll carry many of these things with me for the rest of my days. For that, I’m endlessly thankful.

If you are living a life where noise, speed, and pressure is all around you and the idea of quiet seems unattainable, Sarah Clarkson's book will show you how to find the quiet moments. She vunerably explains her own difficult journey of seeking quiet in her spiritual life while wrestling with her own seasonal hardships from her teen years to motherhood. A read well worth your time.

A wonderful, gentle, encouraging and much needed reminder to pursue quiet every day. I have read it twice, and listened once, and I plan to reread it every year. Thank you, Sarah! It is especially nice to hear it read by the author.
