You are the unique child of God called to raise unique children of God.

We are wonderfully different. That’s God’s beautiful, creative, astonishing design and plan. But how do we faithfully see and parent children who are His unique creations?

You observe it every day in the way your kids think, talk, play, create, relate, read, write, dream, decide, and do life. We celebrate their unique attributes, but we also recognize that every beautiful child comes with particular challenges. We need creative parenting that’s able to provide specialized love and guidance.

Uniquely You, by best-selling authors Sally Clarkson and her son, Nathan Clarkson, is filled with biblical and life-learned wisdom for helping kids become and enjoy being the person God has designed them to be. Parents discover the unique personalities, learning, and love languages of their children. The Clarksons help you imagine discipline and dreams that fit your unique kids.

Our kids have a designed place in God’s story. Uniquely You is the guidebook for partnering with Him in the journey of discovering their unique roles. Your kids will say with confidence and joy, “I am the only me!”

I just finished the book. I am crying. This books reached my heart on such a deep level. I was the black sheep of my family and not accepted for my personality type. The way the Clarkson’s describe their family life leaps off the page and I feel like I experienced for myself the beauty, safety, and love that they have lived in. It’s affirming to my heart and mind the way they describe to healthily parent, and I wish I had and should have been parented like this. This book is not only good for helping parents to raise healthy godly children but also to help anyone to have more empathy and understanding for people who they may not understand or feel like they have little in common with.

I like how it gave insight into the mind of a child who is different without being clinical. I also liked hearing how Sally approached Nathan‘s differentness in a gentle way and helped him adapt and go through life. Success story because he came out the other side and is a functional loving well-rounded person in society. This gives me hope and ideas for my own son who’s only 10 now. Last, I like Sally’s books overall because the thread of loving, gentleness and intentionality comes through. It’s unlike some of the other mom left help books that sometimes leave me feeling anxious or frantic adding more to my “to do” list. This one is easy to listen to as I’m getting ready for bed or doing stretches. It leaves me feeling good and full of hope naturally thinking of another simple bonding activity that I can do with my children.
