It's Little Red Riding Hood like you've never seen her before in this action-filled sequel to the hit Beauty and the Beast. Sorcha knows every inch of the forest, but a spontaneous visit to her grandmother thrusts her into the middle of a brutal conflict between shifters and an unknown force in the woodlands. As the alpha of clan TalWolthe, Conall is obligated to protect his fellow wolves at all costs--even if it means his life. After the pack lands in the crosshairs of a huntsman with a grudge, Conall encounters a red-cloaked beauty who may hold the key to defeating an ancient evil menacing their land.

I was swept away by the first book and now the second was even better. It’s like being a kid again except the stories are now more romantic and fun. Totally love them

I am always a sucker for retold fairy tales. This series by Vivienne Savage is a delight. Red and the Wolf is a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood with the wolf as the good guy and the hunter is the bad guy. Sorcha wears the red cloak of the queen showing she is under the queen's protection and running her errand. She is searching for her grandmother who has been taken by The Hunter. Conall, a wolf shifter, who is also the alpha of his clan, helps her in her search. The two not only deal with the growing attraction between each other but also the ramifications of the dangers they face.

And take note, he is a wolf shifter, rather than a werewolf. That means, he can shift at will. He doesn't have to wait for the full moon or even darkness. He chooses when he shifts.

As it's also an adult romance, you can expect some hot, descriptive sex. Savage doesn't disappoint.

Tinkerbell makes her first appearance in this book. She is a friend to Connall and doesn't take kindly to Sorcha. She is quite jealous! Book 4 of the series -- Belle and the Pirate -- will focus on her.

Will M. Watt is a fantastic narrator. His sexy voice is perfect for these stories and he even makes the women sound good. Not all male readers are able to do that.

I have this book on my kindle as well but I prefer listening to it because of Watt's voice.

The narration and story blend perfectly together
