Eye opening

I really enjoyed this audio version of Retribution . Well written and very interesting. I learned a lot about the life of a young marine since my late brother died as a young marine in Vietnam.

Experience as a prisoner in different Russian locations was truly the eye-opening part. Also, all that his family had to do to work towards his release with United States government etc.That was tough to swallow.

It brings you right there in his first hand account. Also the happy ending of being traded and returning to the US. After rehabilitation deciding to fight in Ukraine.

I wish Trevor well with his future endeavors. I’m glad he wrote his book. Thank you for your service Trevor.

Gripping story pulls you in and hard to hit pause

Gripping story. Seeing worlds of military life, Russian legal and prison system, and Ukraine through eyes much different from my own, yet easy connection and easy to empathize with. My view of people and the world evolved and inspire me to be kinder as I know not how difficult a path others have walked.
The story is well read with the two voices of father and son telling parts of the story making it a richer more emotionally meaningful listen.

Best Book I Have Read in a Long Time!

I have read well over 50+ military biographies and this one was by far my favorite. It was an amazing story of resilience, strength of will and character, and a fight for justice, and the human need for vengeance. I will be recommending this book to every single person I meet for years to come.
