Great Story

liked the story, characters and world building. it is hard to believe that this was Ms Nelson's first series.

Action & adventure & fantasy.

Another five stars for the second book in this series - so many secrets, so much new information for Arrow, so much action. My head was spinning in a really good way being absolutely fascinated by the whole story and so angry at times for Arrow and how she is treated and so glad as she finds her own power and confidence and stands up for herself. Quite a world of magic and war and shifters and some really evil creatures. I am hooked.

Kristen Atherton narrated perfectly.

War between good and evil

Heroine is very honorable but filled with self doubt no matter how many successes she has. Has supporters but without a true mentor, and doesn’t grow past counting her mistakes.

The author is wonderful, and the narrator is fantastic. This is one on my comfort series that I re-read and listen to. I highly recommend.
