The book also includes lengthy appendices on the ancient debate on the inspiration of the book of 1 Enoch, New Testament allusions to the book, and academic resources for studying 1 Enoch and the Book of Giants from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Eye opener

wow. the deeper I get the more I want to learn. I pray that one day the American church will find its way to learning from things like this and not what they have been groomed to believe.

Narrator

Narrator sounds snarky. I listened to the appendix first then intro and it was great, but once he got to the chapters his tone changes and does not reflect the humility of Dr. Heiser.

Informative

The story of the OT watchers and why it matters is the subject of Heiser’s book. It is well written and useful for closer study, but at times a wee bit too scholarly to engage the reader without previous knowledge of Heiser’s work.

Jesus My Triumphant Warrior

Dr Michael Heiser describes Jesus as my Warrior God. No book has done more to encourage my faith in my Savior.

Important book; horrible narrator.

A good discussion of a very important sub text of the NT. Unfortunately, the narrator is apparently a frustrated Shakespearean actor.
