I love this series

I love this series and I like this short stories. I do own the books but is always good to have to audible, the narrator's are soongood that the books became real.

Sweet … until salty

Four novellas all starring plucky human gals finding their HEAs with honorable, kind and protective big blue suede aliens that just happen to have extra features perfectly suited for her pleasure. You won’t find dubious consent or cavemman behavior from the male leads and any trauma or danger is in the past or vaguely referenced. Which means everything about the romance is sunny and sweet … except for the naughty parts, which are detailed. These novellas are for those that like salty language and sassy nooky.

When I listen to these, I put away my feminist, independent, notorious RBG brain. I don’t think about why there aren’t fierce ladies who band together and hold their homesteads without needing male protectors. I’ll look for my kickbutt female leads in other books. Here, I’m in it for the feel good stories of perfect mates, comfort and security, and sweet love combined with salty sex for the ultimate HEAs.

Mr. Lloyd is the best at making these big blue beasts both sexy and adorable, but he gets less narration time than Ms. Macie. Ms. Macie is great for each female lead (even if they all sound the same to me), but I wish she’d speed up her voicing for the males; even at 1.5x, it felt like I was hearing Eoyore the Donkey talk, all mopey and sad.

Ruby Dixon is in a league of her own!

Gosh I love Ruby Dixon so much, her books always feel likes home to me; something that is comforting and always there for me. This collection of novellas is everything! The audiobook narration is really fun and great! Love it!
