Epic finale and even better audio!

The Wolves of Crescent Kingdom finale is here! Tessa Hale has fast become my go-to for immersive, action-packed, spicy yet heartfelt romantasy. She’s somehow become my comfort, cozy PNR author- even though there is lots of darkness and danger. And this series has been one of my all time favs of hers. The characters, the adrenaline-filled action, the HEAT, and all of the feelings- this finale delivers on that and more. I could not put this one down- what an epic and rewarding finale!

This finale has everything- epic rescues, battles, near death drama, many villains, new mysterious characters, plenty of spice and bonding and the last of our delicious alphas coming around to the mate right in front of him. I loved most of all seeing our heroine come into her powers, finding her path forward and finally feeling comfortable in her own skin and with her bonds. AND I loved watching all these alphas worship here, them finally coming together as a pack.

The pace as always is super fast, and Tessa's books are a bit shorter so this is an easy and super bingeable read. The romance is satisfying and the character arcs are great. It does reply heavily plotwise on "training for the big final battle"- which it's just a ME thing that prolonged training sequences I find a bit dragging and ultimately make the final battle feel less climatic after all the build up (which was the case here a bit for me). We also have some new characters that I loved but also feel like there are more there to set up the next series- which I'm down for- but they definitely pull a bit from the main pack at the end, even though they are quite entertaining. But for the most part I adored this finale and whole series- one of my favs.

The audio is a beautiful full cast narration by Vanessa Moyen, Connor Crais, Jason Clarke, JF Harding, Teddy Hamilton, and Shane East- and it’s FING incredible! Tess has some of my all-time favorite audios, and this series is some of her best. I am OBSESSED. Each narrator is perfectly cast, each performance captures the key essence of these characters, and the vocal chemistry of the whole cast is fantastic. Tess ensures each character has a moment to shine in this finale- and therefore each narrator also has a moment to shine. Chef’s kiss production!
