His affinity for teasing the hot new veterinarian in town has led to a rush of emotions that he wasn't ready for. Marshall finds his easy days of breaking up fights at the local PTA meetings are over when he and Katelyn discover that a dog-fighting ring has stormed into their normally idyllic town.

As their love struggles to break through, they must battle to save the lives of the dogs and each other.

Kept my attention

Suspenseful and romantic. loved it overall, I only wish the pause between chapters wasnt so long. I thought it was over several times.

Great books

Wonderful story full of action, drama and romance. This book is well written and I would recommend it as a must read. Marshall and Katelyn have to work through their misconception of each other to find true love.

Recommended

Who knew there was so much criminal activity in small towns. We are introduced to some more of the residents of Keeneston, KY. They do blend in well with the rest of the citizens, at least some of them do.

Dog racing is the current scandal and as evidenced by all the dogs they are well loved overall. So, who would do something so atrocious?

Struggling Shyness

Two people who had all the chemistry and emotions kept getting tripped up. Love that the man finally realized he just had to say the words in front of a audience that he loved his girl.

The narration was wonderful. The voices made the characters come alive.

Interesting series

First Eric G Dove is one of my favorite narrators. He has a voice made for story telling and has the ability to do a variety of voices.

This story is rather fun and made me laugh many times. It had just the right amount of romance. It did address the brutality of dog fighting so be prepared for some sickening descriptions. It really hit home for me about how we all make assumptions about people based on stereotypes.

A good read!
