Sometimes murder…
Strikes way too close to home.
It’s the end of summer, and that means just one thing in amateur sleuth Evelyn Foster’s newly adopted hometown of Granite, Michigan...it’s time for the annual Rock Festival. This particular festival is literally about rocks, not music.
Eve and her dogs adjust to the influx of tourists into the normally quiet town, and she and her friends have a great time together at the festival, but in the midst of fun and chaos, something goes terribly wrong.
When they leave the fairgrounds, they discover a body…in Eve’s car.
Along with the body is a note that is beyond creepy.
Unsure why she’s seemingly being targeted by a killer, Eve finds herself jumping at shadows and continually glancing over her shoulder.
Is she next on the killer’s list? Can she chip away at the case in time to save herself?
Find out in this suspenseful Canine Cozy Mystery!

This series continues to surprise me in the best way. Patti is the queen of enjoyable, fast paced murder mysteries. Although it does make you wonder how so many murders can happen in a small town in a short time frame, but I suppose that's the joy of fiction. I hope she continues with this series but if not, I'll definitely search out her other books. Once again Julie McKay does a phenomenal job with her performance of all these characters. She's the queen of solo narration!
A wonderfully written and performed series!

Eve and her friends have a great time at the Rock Festival, until it all goes sour as they leave to go home. A body has been found in the most inconvenient spot!
As the town comes to terms with a mystery needing to be solved, Eve finds herself with a possible stalker and on top of this dealing with her car being a crime scene.
I liked how Patti had written a number of possible suspects who could have been responsible for the murder in this story. Kept me guessing until the end.
The standout for me is the performance of this story by Julie McKay, the transitions and transformation into each and every character is superb. At many times I was sure there was more than one voice actor. Julie’s male voice, next level.
Thank you Patti for an intriguing story, and to Blue Nose for an entertaining advanced listener copy. Eagerly awaiting the next instalment.
Rock on!
