This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
In CHAOS AND AMBER, Dworkin and his son Oberon arrive at the Courts of Chaos to discover, and confront, their hidden enemies. But things don't go as planned. Oberon has a terrible physical reaction to being in Chaos, while assassination attempts are made on both his and Dworkin's lives-and the traitor in their family remains a hidden but quite real threat. Dworkin takes Oberon on a desperate journey, pressing deeper into Shadow than ever before. Here, Oberon discovers more of the true nature of his father...and of his real mother. But they have been followed, and a horde of hell-creatures attacks. Ultimately, Dworkin must create a new Pattern with his own blood to save himself, his family, and the future. it's a shame, as I was very excited to hear this. I saw it was virtual voice. gave it a try and nope it's just terrible. narration was awful. it made trying to follow with interest difficult. it was way too robotic and devoid of any emotion, than and no other voice changes to difer other characters there was some inflection but not enough to make the difference over all. pauses are weird some make sense others run on between characters when there should be a pause. I highly suggest this gets put up for a live reader please!!!! I like the tone of the voice but virtual voice isn't the way. Ill put this to my read it myself pile. highly suggest u get live readers. AI isn't there yet. this has convinced me this is not worth it.

virtual voice does story no justice flat dead on the floor

There are to many pauses at inappropriate moments in the dialog. It makes following the story difficult.
