Meanwhile a cohort of legionaries under the command of Remus is tasked with finding the source of the Celtic gold.

The Romans find themselves in strange and unfriendly environment, and, as they close in on their quarry, the fates of all four men become intertwined and a long held secret revealed, culminating in a savage and astonishing climax that affects the very future of Britannia....

What a ride through the Roman invasion of Britain. Well written, not over accurate, but really exciting. So good you want the next book in your library because you don’t want to listen to anything else. A novel and a history lesson.
The reader is amazing. A must listen!

Tired and predictable storyline

Good use of historical events. Good performance by the reader. However, the storyline was predictable, tired and improbable.
