Loved it

Allyson and Bruce had young love, they were each others everything until  Allyson broke Bruce's heart and their future dreams of being together forever. Now 10 years later Allyson is a single mom to Cooper having moved back to her him town. Bruce is still working on the farms like the rest of the tannen boys. Allyson and Bruce meet again when Bruce starts to coach her son's football team. Bruce is still mad at her for breaking his heart, and Allyson is mad at him as well. Will Bruce find out why she broke him? Will they get a second chance at love? Will they get a HEA?

What happens when the love of your life returns home years after leaving? Bruce Tannen gets to find out exactly what happens when his high school sweetheart Allyson returns with her son Cooper. Lauren Landish has woven a second chance romance that steals your heart and invests your soul. Bruce is just what he appears to be. There is no illusion to him, what you see is what you get. And believe me when I say, you will love this growlie rancher as he coaches football and woos Allyson. Allyson is guarded and for good reason. I have to say there were a couple of times I wanted to pull her along just so she could see what she could be having, but I am so glad her story played out as it did. And Cooper...what a kid! I can't even begin to say how much this boy added to the story! I loved every minute of it, from the reuniting of old loves to the squabbling and protectiveness of the Tannen brothers. It's an incredible start to this series and I can't wait for more.

Landish casts her narrators so well that you would think the story is written for these voices. Tor Thom is the alpha, swoonworthy Bruce, with his abundance of bravado and warm baritone voice. Carly Robins comes in as Allyson, very hesitant yet very self confident. This team is the perfect fit and enhanced the story so much that I could not stop listening! Loved every minute of the book.

A wonderful and exciting story

This book will have you hanging on to every word. It’s a emotional ride but so loving and definitely a book that will have you cheering this couple on. I never find any worries with these two narrators. Always an amazing story from Lauren Landish.

Great story and narration

Book one in the Tannen Boys series and was an entertaining story which is narrated by Tor Thom and Carly Robbins who portray Bruce (Brutal) Tannen and Allyson Meyer. This is a second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me.

Allyson is the woman who walked away but now fate puts them in one another’s path again. Bruce is shocked at how much she has changed, she is a former shadow of herself and he is disturbed. The struggle whether to help Allyson is very real. Can they work it out this time and in doing so forgive and come to terms with the past?

This was a steamy, at times emotional and heart warming story and one that I enjoyed. The narrators did a great job bringing the story to life for me.
