I could scarcely listen to the actor because of annoying piano scales in the background.

I tried and tried to get through this book but finally decided I would just have to read it in print. I even tried to listen to it on different speeds… but, alas, that did nothing to improve the listening experience. One star is too much a gift to describe the the narration. If you really enjoy the writings of G K Chesterton… buy the book, not this audio!!

Ruined by the narrator

The content was excellent but barely understandable while listening to this stumbling reader. Perhaps a different narrator could produce a more appealing and inspiring read.

Perhaps a different narrator?

The halting stumbling reading of this book proves antithetical to Chesterton's style and meaning!
Listening became actually painful.
I cannot imagine how the creators of this version could pick a reader so contrary to Chesterton and his verbal style.
I got it by mistake and exchanged it for the Simon Vance reading.

Don't get this one!
