A Western Adventure by Ronnie Ashmore

In the vast expanse of the untamed West, Sam Bolton, a once revered Texas Ranger, basked in the glory of a life well-lived. His days were woven with the threads of triumph—a flourishing ranch, a radiant wife, and a heart brimming with contentment. Yet, as the winds of fate began to howl through the canyons, news reached Sam's ears, shattering the tranquility that had graced his existence. A name, whispered in hushed tones, carried on the whispers of the wind—a name that struck fear into the hearts of even the most hardened souls—an outlaw, whose very presence eclipsed the legends Sam had heard in smoky saloons and around crackling campfires.

In the face of this perilous threat, everything Sam had tirelessly built and cherished was thrust into jeopardy. A crossroad appeared on the horizon, demanding Sam's unwavering resolve and forcing him to confront the most daunting decision he had ever encountered. Tom Bowdry, a harbinger of chaos and death, had etched his name upon the annals of infamy—a reputation steeped in bloodshed. On the other side stood Sam Bolton, known far and wide as Lightning Sam—a beacon of righteousness and the embodiment of justice in the rugged frontier.

The hourglass of destiny had turned, its sands cascading relentlessly. When these two formidable forces inevitably converged, a tempest of lead and gun smoke would surely dance upon the windswept plains. A clash of titans loomed, painting the sunsets with hues of confrontation and the thunderous echo of revolvers. The world would tremble as their fates entwined, and the legends they had cultivated throughout the years would converge, converging in a cacophony of swirling dust, steel, and blood.

I don't care for the narrator used takes away from the emotions in the characters. I would rather read it myself.

don't care for the type of narrator used to read this book

This is a great storyline. I love this type of westerns. Sam is a retired Texas Ranger. An outlaw kills one of Sam's friends. Sam goes after him. While Sam is gone after Tom Bodrey (The Outlaw) he comes to Sam's house after his wife and hired hands. Sam finds out and rushed back and its one heck of a fight. I'm not a fan of the virtual voice narrating but it's not that bad. To get a storyline like this I can handle it. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

If you use virtual voice, at least check the pronunciation of words for the context ie: wound/wound. I really really dislike virtual voice narration!

The characters are okay, but fairly standard, without strong development of characters. The AI reading drove me crazy. The voice sounded like some East coast college kid who just got a job in an investment company. I don't know anyone in Texas who sounds like that voice, yet alone any of my rancher or cowboy friends.

Standard Western but poorly read
