Together they fight to keep kids out of jail while the streets of Sacramento threaten to explode. They’d better hope they’ve learned enough about each other to keep it together, because for this case, school is the most dangerous place to be.

action adventure romance

Ellery and Jackson expand their circle of friends and continue their excellent work outsmarting human traffickers.

Great story. Great narration.

The Fish Out of Water series has become one of my favorites. The romance is lovely. Jackson and Ellery are constantly evolving as individuals and as a couple. The action stops just long enough for a few sweet moments and a little research into the latest case. The social commentary is insightful, and the narration is amazing. Amy Lane's writing is well suited to narration, and Greg Tremblay performance is always enjoyable for me. As long as this series keeps going, I will keep listening, but I really do hope Jackson and Ellery get a breather soon. They deserve a very long vacation away from the action.
