Exhaustively researched, inspiringly written, poorly read

Amazing content! But the narrator butchers the pronunciation of not only most Roman names and titles, but many words used in everyday English.

Scipio - the most under rated genetal ever

Extraordinary book! The author analyzing one of the greatest military leaders in human history and managing to point out the superiority of Scipio over Hanibal, Alexander, Caesar and even Napoleon.
Definitely a must read.

Great book, somewhat iffy narration.

I really enjoyed this work by Liddell Hart, his grasp of the subject was amazing and his insights, while constrained by his time, were inspiring. The only negative came from the narrator continually mispronouncing place names, especially in Spain. He always pronounced Cartagena with a hard G instead of the spanish H sound.

Other than that, the work is excellent and I wish more of Liddell Hart's works were available through Audible.

Story was great, poor narration

Same as title, the book was great but the narration was dry and gave the impression they weren’t familiar with material on the Roman Empire with how they pronounced places, people, etc
