Good story. Bad narrator

Not a fan of the female narrator. Her voices for different characters were annoying. I sped through her parts

Horrible female narration!

I liked the story and this series. However the female narrator killed this audiobook. I physically cringed when this woman tried to do any kind of accent. It got to the point where I completely skipped listening to the chapters that were in Ivy’s POV and read them instead. The male narrator was great and carried this audiobook.

PERFECTION 😍

It's seldom that I give a 5 star rating for the narration part of an audiobook because I'm picky and will usually find something wrong with the way a narrator changes his/her voice for different characters or if I can't hear the emotions come through in their voices. But this was not the case here. Clariel Lee and Iggy Toma were outstanding. 👌

Both narrators were able to portray each character convincingly (book is dual pov and narration is dual) bringing this story/book to a whole new level. Add that to the fact that this is a freaking awesome story and I can only give it an all round 5 stars.

More info on the story: it's a Mafia-light, Romantic Suspense and although part of a series, it can definitely be read/listened to as a standalone (ends with a HEA). There's great banter between the MCs (Nico & Ivy) which obviously makes for good listening and without giving too much away... the action scenes are really something else - ALL the action scenes. 😏😉

I'm looking forward to more books by this author and listening to more performances by both Clariel Lee and Iggy Toma.

Highly recommend this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stiff Natation

I don’t usually leave reviews but I had to on this one. The story is great but the narration killed it for me. Save your money and don’t purchase the narration. Reading the book is better without it.

Disappointed 😔

Unfortunately this one fell way way way short compared to book 2. The female narrator should be barred from EVER narrating a book ever again. She was so cringy, had the most awful accents and honestly the romance just wasn’t there either, maybe it was her narration that ruined it. Super disappointing to go from the beauty of Scorned Vows to whatever that was. Should’ve skipped it and just gone to book 3🤦🏽‍♀️ Clairel Lee, please do not narrate ever again. WOW just wow😬
