How do you kill a god?

Nepherenti has vanished without a trace in her murderous quest to become a demon queen. A god among even the mightiest awakened souls.

Each passing dawn heralds doom for Gabriel's world. Putting the freshly conquered Eternal Empire to work, Gabriel hunts for greater power.

But not everyone is happy with his hostile takeover.

The Seraphim harbor grave suspicion. The citizenry can't decide if he is a savior or demon. The nobility schemes from their gilded halls.

Shadespire is a powder keg waiting for a spark.

Gabriel's fledgling empire dances on the edge. Will he discover the secrets of god slaying, or will he become the next corpse on the throne?

I love this series and this is just another epic part that expanded upon the new workd that is unfolding as it goes on. Another knock out Waldo.

Awsome!

im halfway through at the time of writing this and it feels like a throwback to the first book which was very slow story wise and very boring.
while I definitely wouldn't switch narrators this far in to the series, I always have to speed up the reading because he goes so slowly.
about 12 hours in and its mostly pseudo base building and inward improvement. they haven't gone anywhere, or done much of all. and im very close to dropping the series overall after this and the last books performance

boring
