K.A. Linde
A new stand-alone fake-relationship romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today best-selling author K.A. Linde....
I never thought I’d say yes to a fake date.
Let alone with Julian Wright.
But I’m stuck attending my perfect brother’s doctoral graduation, and I can’t suffer through another round of parental disappointment. Julian has to go to a charity function he planned with his ex-girlfriend. We both need a date.
Yes, we shared one kiss in a darkened office to make his ex jealous. But it wasn’t real. Was it?
I’m sure I can get through this. Until we get to the house and there’s only one bed.
I’ve pined for Julian for three long years. More than my body is on the line.... I need to guard my heart.
Because if I get hurt in our fake relationship, then it serves me Wright.

Worth a credit? Yes a warm Wright friend-to-lovers fake-to-forever romance that has great family dynamics, fun, charm, sizzles and swoons. The dual POV narration by Erin and Teddy was perfect and it was a joy hearing this latest Wright book come to life thanks to their awesome narration.

Great Story

There is pure charm and flirt from Julian. He is just an all around good guy. But like good guys do they make dumb decisions and get taken advantage of.
Jennifer is the perfect compliment to him. She sees him for who he is and is so purely good that she would never take advantage of him. She has her own inner demons with anxiety. As a person that also suffers from anxiety I appreciate authors that take the time to show characters with mental illness.
This book was a 4 star and then at the end became a 4.5. All because of the amazing speech about being who you are and loving who you love by Jennifer’s brother Chester near the end. None of that had to be put into the book. But being a Blue Texan in a red state it felt very powerful and so true hearing it. I applaud KA Linde for choosing to speak her truth and to not take the easy out on her stories. I loved that speech. I think I may have cheered a bit.
I love these books being low angst, fun and having this underlying lessons.
Pure small town magic!
