Love it

I absolutely love how the narrator brought this story to life. Excellent job on an engrossing story. I love murder mysteries for all their twists and turns and darkness and this was no exception. Definitely going to have to check out the rest of the series.

Great story, great narrator

This book exceeded my expectations. The setting in the 18th Century Dublin seeps through the story wonderfully, and the characters are relatable and well constructed. And the narrator is superb!

A 4 1/2 star read, very Holmesian in tone.

Shadow of the Dolocher (The Alderman James Mystery Thriller Series Book 2) , Book 1, my thirteenth read from author European P. Douglas. I read the first book in the series, The Dolocher (The Alderman James Mystery Thriller Series Book 1), back in July of 2022 so it took me awhile to come back up to speed in the series, A well-written, entertaining read, very Holmesian in tone, with intriguing, well-developed characters that I read in a single setting. Longer than the first book at 9-hours 8-minutes/352-pages. Ian Thomas's narration adds to a good book's enjoyment. “I received an Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll be reading more from this author with Hunting Down the Darkness (The Alderman James Mystery Thriller Series Book 3) already on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Great audiobook

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook I really enjoyed this story the author did a really great job writing this book the Narrator did a great job telling the story I very much enjoyed listening to this audiobook
