Good Book!

Overall good book. This was a first time read from this author and i was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the emotions conveyed by the characters and the narrator's ability to express them. Having not experienced this in real life, i could feel the pain surrounding them. I will definitely be reading/listening to this author again!

What a roller-coaster!

This storyline was amazing! It's like when I thought I knew what was coming next I was way off base. It took me a while to get use to the narrator voice because at first the person sounded like a virtual voice but when I started to pay attention to the story I just looked past it. This was my first book/listen from this author and I'm anxious to hear more soon. I would just like a different voice next time and one that could make the different characters have their own voice to make it easier to catch on if their name isn't mentioned in that moment.

scattered thoughts...robotic narrator

the premise of this story was interesting, different and did like the characters so I stuck with it. but the story felt a bit all over the place. we got a little of the MCd history, but not enough, imo. I kept waiting find out more about why the sisters were estranged, for instance, but never really got tbat. there were a lot of charactersz..to many to keep up eith. and the plot device (black widow?) was a bit much snd not really set up well. oh, and time sidnt really seem consistent. characters would speak as if days had passed...but it wad only a night.bor so it seemed. it got confusing at times.

then there was the narrator. it definitely sound like Google or Alexa was reading it. very strange. I did finish it though..so it wasnt rhe worst book I've ever tried tk listen to. it was a free listen, so that helped.

AI robotic narrator

Speeding up or slowing down narration usually helps in a hard listen, but this was awful at any speed.
As other reviewers stated, the initial setup of the story piles guilt on guilt on guilt. I immediately hated both characters because of it.
Couldn’t make it through the first chapter.

This is a must read/listen book

What a great story.
It will pull at yiur heart strings, it will make you smile ,laugh even moments of tears.
Then when you think you have your emotions in check, Nichol Winters throws a wrench in the story and blows your mind.
The narration was done when it came to characters voices and emotions. She is a bit choppy when just telling the story.. however I really enjoyed this book and so will you.
