An angsty, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, hockey romance from bestselling author, Monty Jay

Razor sharp between the pipes, mysterious off the ice, Malakai Petrov is the Chicago Fury’s notorious goalie. The 6’5 Russian giant is hiding an entire world behind the mask he wears on and off the ice. He thinks his secrets are buried deep enough so that no one can ever crack the ice guarding his stone heart. Until he meets a certain teammate's sister, with hypnotizing silver eyes, who’s got a knack for sticking her nose in places it doesn’t belong.

Charlotte Greene met the man behind the mask years before anyone knew his name. The punk chick with calloused fingers from the strings of her violin never could shake the memory of him. When unexpected circumstances put them back in each other’s life, she sets her sights on turning his life upside down.

From stealing his dog, leaving her panties on his stairs, and batting her soul-stealing eyes, Malakai is forced to question everything he once knew. These two are skating on thin ice, and it won’t be long until it, and his will to keep his hands to himself, shatters.

Shattered Ice is a standalone novel in the Fury Series and deals with sensitive subjects some may find triggering.

This one had me feeling all the emotions! I had to take breaks along the way!! As someone who had a loved one suffer with Alzheimers/Dimemtia, I understood how Charlotte felt about losing her mother, even though she was still alive... that's what the disease does; it takes away who the person was and you lose them before they actually die. Malikai's struggles were heartbreaking and tragic in their own way as well! I absolutely loved following as Malikai and Charlotte found each other and developed their relationship. Monty's books are continuing to be some of my favorites!! ❤️

Added note: This book touches on some very tough topics, read at your discretion. Your mental health is important, so check trigger warnings before reading.

Also 10/10 narration!! I love both of these narrators, they did an amazing job bringing the story to life!

So many emotions 🥺❤️
