My new neighbor is a jerk. Sure, he's the embodiment of tall, dark, and handsome. But he has managed to become enemy number one within the first forty-eight hours of moving into the apartment next door. I may have retaliated and escalated the situation. Now, my grumpy neighbor's agent wants to run with this story. Apparently, his image needs some sprucing. I agree under one circumstance: I get to use him for inspiration in the new romance book I'm working on.

I swear I meant it in the figurative sense when I signed the contract.

Trenton turns into my experimental guinea pig for all my spicy scenes. I may be fake dating one of the NHL's best goalies, but out of all the things we do, faking it is not one of them.

Only, falling in love wasn't in the fine print.

read half the book before I had to stop got too irritated

the story seemed very promising and generally was progressing at a very good rate and interesting take on this trope except for the fact being that every female in here just treats everybody like trash (including other females, even when the are friends) and it's acceptable because they're females. All the females in this stoy legitimately just jerks around the male main character however they want because they're females and he's a man so his thoughts, emotions, and feelings are irrelevant. The female main character is extremely narcissistic like on a ridiculous level and not a single person in the story points that out to her except for men and all men are trash so don't listen

Fun story lots of spice!

Loved the story and the characters. Some repetitive phrases and descriptive language but overall a fun read!

Such a cute romance, low anxiety, good spice

I loved their love story. I loved the character development. These two characters were just adorable and perfect for each other. I loved that there wasn't a ton of angsty times between them and the spice level was great. Super romantic MC - swoon.

This was a fun quick listen. I really enjoyed the story and the narration. Amy Hall and Ash Beverly did a really good job of bringing the characters to life.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Trenton and Cassidy, and how well they understood each other thanks to their similar histories with their exes.

The story had a little bit of everything. There were moments that were hilarious, like Trenton's fear of Candy, and the airplane book club. But it also had more serious and emotional aspects, like the visit to Trenton's grandma, and Cassidy's relationship with her parents.

so cute and funny

I'm so glad I gave this book a chance. it was cute and funny. the "fight" was a bit dramatic to me but do see where she's coming from. overall this was a good start to the series ☺️
