Pure fun

Why did the performer make it sound like the characters were often yelling at each other, instead of having a conversational tone?

A fun ride

This story has a beautifully crafted universe and complex characters that make it fun to follow along. I was never bored at any point. I didn’t pull my usual trick of figuring out what would happen next because I was just enjoying following along as the story was unraveling. It’s not that the plot was terribly complicated or anything. There were just so many well written details to consider along the way that I didn’t find myself over thinking the plot. I really just enjoyed being on the ride. These are places and characters that I would enjoy seeing and meeting if they were real. I hope they make it into a movie someday and do it justice. What I have imagined in my head was quite amazing.

I listened to/loved the first book and couldn’t wait for the second one to come out.
The narrator is superb, the story is very well constructed. Myles Christensen creates characters that you actually care about. His timing and sense of humor are absolutely refreshing. I cannot recommend this book/series more highly.
