Really enjoyed this book

Loved the who story and that there wasn’t a lot of drama or other women.

Holy Hotness!

Trigger is an alpha man who knows what he wants and when he takes it, he TAKES it, hard.
Gillian is brilliant! She's tough, compassionate, and so great under pressure. I'm in awe of the things she came up with to help share information and get help.
Susan Stoker has once more given us a story to think about, revist, and enjoy for years.

Shielding Gillian, the first book of Susan Stoker’s second Delta Team series, brings us Gillian Romano, an event planner who was forced to become the mouthpiece of a drug cartel when the plane she was on was hijacked.

She is paired with Walker “Trigger” Nelson, member of an elite Delta Force team sent to neutralise the situation and rescue the passengers.

With this first instalment on a new series, I am excited to meet the rest of Trigger’s team! Susan Stoker has never failed to amaze me with her talent in coming up with gripping stories of the men and women in uniform. I know that this batch of new heroes will definitely live up to their creator’s imagination!

Plus points is getting to know a new narrator in Virginia Rose, who I am happy to say gave the story so much life. Bravo! I am definitely waiting for bated breath for Kinley and Lefty to share their story!

An interesting story. I had met the Delta team in previous stories so was really looking forward to hearing about their HEA. I'm not sure that I entirely care for the narrating. Her rendering made the story seem almost cheesy at times. That may not be entirely accurate but the best way I can describe it right now.

Slow Burn Hotness

You just can't go wrong with Stoker. You are hooked from page one- action and romance. Her heroines are never doormats or helpless- they are smart, capable women and you can see yourself in them. Gillian seems like your neighbor, well a very brave cool-under-pressure and super kind neighbor. Trigger is a feminist alpha male (my term for Stoker's men). Their connection is a slow burn which is a nice change of pace for a lot of romances.

You will enjoy this listen and root for this couple, but best of all this is the start to a new series (yeah!)!!
