Fav Slay Book!

Absolutely loves this story. Frankie and Maverick are *chef’s kiss*, and as a late 30s woman… I found this to be perfect with the age gap! The spice is perfect, the story is laugh out loud funny and full of good twists.

P.S. Ice will forever be one of my favorites.. as twisted as that may be!

Pretty good.

I’ve enjoyed all 3 books, but probably the first two more. I thought Maverick’s voice was a little too mature for being 22. I called this twist coming from a mile away, but expecting it didn’t change how I felt about the story. I love how it all turned out.

Reverse Age Gap

If you liked Butcher & Blackbird (not the other two books from The Ruinous Love Trilogy), you’ll love Slaycation! All three books were good, especially with Frankie and Maverick.

Once Frankie embraced her dark side as an FBI agent, she became more likable. Maverick is a golden retriever and a very charming contract killer. They both sail for the Bruise Cruise with other serial killers for an unforgettable trip. This plot has dark humor that had me laughing and gagging in this reverse age gap romance.

Dark Rom Com at its best!

Lauren Biel writes some of the darkest books I have ever read. She also writes some of the funniest. This would be the latter.
Our group of fun loving serial killers have gathered for another Sinners Retreat, this time one a cruise ship and with a dozen federal agents hidden among them. Hunky 22 year old Maverick is paired with Frankie, who is 38, gorgeous and happens to be on a mission to bring down these killers before they find out who she is.
As usual, Biel's pop culture references, hilarious internal monologues and desire to ruin some sort of food or drink are on full display. Few author make murder as much fun as she does. The stellar full cast of this audiobook continues to shine in this series that really should be listened to for maximum enjoyment.
Cannot wait to see who the author features in the next Slaycation book. Will it be Icepick's time to shine?
