The list of reasons I should stay away from my neighbor is about as long as his... wrench. He’s a dirty mechanic, he’s a single dad, and he can’t seem to keep his shirt on for more than five minutes.

Did I mention his ex-wife is my best friend? Yeah. Reid Riggins is absolutely, one hundred percent, the last person in the world I should get involved with. Even if he is heart-stoppingly gorgeous with strong, powerful hands that could rip my clothes off with ease.

Except I may have told a white lie to my eccentric, rich parents. I may have told them I’m engaged to a wealthy businessman, and now they want to meet my fake fiance. Unfortunately, Reid might be the only guy who’s willing to play along.

Juvenile and oddly punchy … but ultimately fun

This got off to a rough start, with Reid seeming like a jerk and Sandra seeming stuck up. Their first tumble in the sheets has them both too sloshed to even be sure they did the deed. There’s also a weirdly large number of scenes where the characters are violent:
🥊 Sandra slaps Reid for being lippy
🥊 Sandra “playfully” slaps her BFF Lauren hard enough to leave a handprint
🥊 Reid punches his brother.
🥊 Tara shoves Sandra for breaking girl code
🥊 Reid decks Sandra’s ex (and later decks him again)

But, throwing any expectations for realism out the window, and channeling Sandra as Marisa Tomei’s
My Cousin Vinny character (with her biological clock ticking and hellcat pluck), and I ended up liking the second half quite a bit. Reid’s son Ronan and BFF Lauren gave great comedy. The lusty, mouthy sex scenes were hot. And, even though I rolled my eyes at two people turning down millions to make it on their own, … I ended up liking both of the MCs.

This was a cute steamy story. The characters were awesome and the story believable.. i kinda wish it was longer.

Fun, Sexy Romp!

Single Dad Next Door just needs a few more adjectives to be self-explanatory…sexy and funny do it! Narration is really good!

The narrators nailed this story. I laughed throughout this book and it was one of the better ones I've listened to. a must read or listen to book
