She gave up her powers to save those she loves. Now she must face darkness with nothing but her will . . . and a spark of hope. "Siren's Fury is a solid, slightly steampunky follow-up to the fantasy-driven first book that will leave you with a sigh--and a craving for the next volume in the series." (USA TODAY) Siren's Fury is the second in a fast-paced, clean YA romantasy trilogy.

"I thrust my hand toward the sky as my voice begs the Elemental inside me to waken and rise. But it's no use. The curse I've spent my entire life abhorring--the thing I trained so hard to control--no longer exists."

Nym risked her life to save Faelen, her homeland, from a losing war, only to discover that the shapeshifter Draewulf has stolen everything she holds dear. But when the repulsive monster robs Nym of her storm-summoning abilities as well, the beautiful Elemental realizes her war is only just beginning.

Now powerless to control the elements that once emboldened her, Nym stows away on an airship traveling to the metallic kingdom of Bron. She must stop Draewulf. But the horrors he's brought to life and the secrets of Bron are more than Nym bargained for. Then the disturbing Lord Myles tempts her with new powers that could destroy the monster, and Nym must decide whether she can compromise in the name of good even if it costs her very soul.

As she navigates the stark industrial cityscape of Bron, Nym is faced with an impossible choice: change the future with one slice of a blade . . . or sacrifice the entire kingdom for the one thing her heart just can't let go.

Fans of character-driven fantasy with strong female leads and morally complex choices will be swept away by this second installment of the Storm Siren trilogy. If you love redemption arcs, enemies-to-allies tension, and heroines who fight battles both within and without, don't miss Siren's Fury, Book Two in the Storm Siren trilogy. Don't miss the conclusion to the series, Siren's Song (Book 3). The series must be read in order.

My review of Book 1 in this series including a long rant on the bad narration. I thought it fitting to start with narration for Book 2... BIG IMPROVEMENT!!! I would like to think the author read feedback given and tried someone new, if not then let's thank our lucky stars. This narrator actually differentiates between characters. She can give the story the correct emotions when needed.

Now for the story. It's a song 3 star book. We have a strong female lead who is forced to decide between the man she loves and saving a country. Her morality both helps and hurt her through her journey. I do question why she rarely thinks of Colin who she befriended in te first book. If your only 2 friends in thw whole world are taken from you, one would think they would be on your mind constantly.

The love story in this book is not the greastest. The two haven't even dated, made love, nor was there a big build up of emotions. They only knew each other a month and she hated him the first two weeks. The only time there was heat between them is when he kissed her for 2 seconds. Not even a french kiss. I mean, really? A whole month and she is risking her life and possible the lives of her countrymen.

The best part of this story is learning of Draewold and his daughter. They have an interesting back ground that is revealed.

Lastly, I was delighted in the turn of events with Miles. Hopefully, we dive into his background more in the next book.

Big Improvement
