Great Narrators but...

I had a problem with how the female character, Selena, seemed so concerned about taking care of her 3 year old kidnapped and physically abused niece but the moment she gets her she leaves the little girl with the maid to go have sex with Alex...WTF? Then, she leaves the girl for nearly 3 days with a man she only met three days prior (and the maid) to go be with her mom...WTF? Wasn't feeling it. Maybe because I am a Mom, first, always. The story was ok but I really got this book because I love Troy Duran. I don't think I will continue with the series.
