He came to town to heal his shoulder. Falling for the grumpy guy in the Santa suit was not part of the rehab plan…

Jayden Reynolds is a sunshiney pro hockey player determined to enjoy six quiet weeks of recovery in a quirky small town. His plans change when he crashes into Charlie Kennedy, a grumpy retired hockey defenseman, who hates Christmas.

Charlie used to have it all, but when he lost everything, he resigned himself to being alone, working on his parents’ Christmas tree farm and dreaming of what could have been. Unfortunately for him, the younger man he met at the ice rink is determined to break down his walls. Between early-morning gym run-ins, nosy matchmakers, forced proximity, and a town that treats gossip like a competitive sport, their chemistry becomes impossible to ignore.

Their relationship has a time limit, but resisting might hurt more than giving in. But can these total opposites make a long-distance relationship work?

Skates and Santa is a cozy and funny romantic comedy featuring grumpy/sunshine energy, small-town hijinks, forced proximity, holiday chaos, and a happily ever after worth the risk.

The storyline was good, but it was distracting with the choice of Computer Generated Voice. It might just be me, but when listening to a gay male romantic story I don’t think having a female Computer Generated Voice is a great choice?!? It is kinda distracting and causes me to loose interest in the romantic storyline?!? It would be better with a male Computer Generated Voice.

Good storyline, bad choice of Computer Generated Voice

This had potential but it’s read by AI voice. What’s worse is it’s an MM romance read by AI in a FEMALE voice!!! Like why?!!

Use human voice actors please!!
