When the obituary writer for the Beacon is found dead in the same location shortly thereafter, private sleuth Geneva Pomolo suspects something more than coincidence at work....

A professional psychic, “The Incredible Claudia" has been gaining notoriety for her theatrical readings in which she claims to commune with the dead and see visions of the future. Denounced by local churches and the press, Claudia has nevertheless acquired a loyal army of supporters, and Geneva is certain there is a scam at work.

When it becomes clear that the murderer of Madeline Ponderphelt is preparing to strike again, Geneva and her partner, Iris, must use every ounce of cunning to combat a killer who wants them both out of the picture.
