Another terrifying, classic horror novel from best-selling author John Saul. An insidious madman haunts the peaceful town of Borrego, New Mexico. His goal is singular, as is the focus of his hate and rage. The teenagers of the town seem to have gone too far, and now he will strike back - while they sleep and even during their waking hours - and silence them forever.

The narration was poor, every ending to a sentence was dragged out. Super distracting and annoying.

Story was intriging but I just can't get past this narrators voice. At first I though it was a computer reading it. I even tried slowing the voice down and speeding it up. Please redo with a new narrator! I will finish this book the good old-fashioned way. Sorry John

Any additional comments?

I am a truck driver and listen to a LOT of audio books. I listened to this one all the way through because I have been a fan of John Saul since I was a teenager, though Dean Koontz is my favorite author, John Saul is tied for a very close second. The first book I ever read by him was Blind Fury (unfortunately not unabridged on Audible, hint hint).

This book was good, IF you can ignore the narrator!! Which I usually can.
I managed to get through the book, and John Saul did not disappoint, but the reader, ugh.

If you like John Saul and can ignore how it sounds and concentrate strictly on the story then it is worth the credit, but if you can not divorce the two, then you would be better off getting the paper version of this book.

Book was good, Narration sucked!

...At least as of this recording. She speaks very much like a 5 year old stating something very matter-of-factly. The pauses between sentences were too long, making the story hard to follow.

Great story though. Love Mr Saul.

Ms Dawe may need some speech classes
