Grow your farm. Build relationships. Expose the secret.

Varian Farm—a place shrouded in mystery. Led by an iron-fisted noble, its fields bear endless fruit. Its animals produce the finest wools, milks, and cheeses. But prosperity comes at a price.

Deep beneath the manor house, a secret slumbers. For hundreds of years, it’s sat dormant, controlled by the noble House of Varian.

The world is changing though. A recent earthquake has unearthed treasure in the valley. Hidden from view, a chain reaction is underway. The valley is evolving.

Life will never be the same.

This book is like putting on a rerun after a long day. Easy and comfortable book without high stress times (despite the narrator doing his best to add the stress and the MC whining). Will listen to the next one

A comfy slice of life

So first i wanna say this is a good story that I really did enjoy. However the MC is awful. He whiney, cowardly, petty, and hypocritical. I don't want to give away spoilers but I really hope the MC shows some growth or matures a bit. Sadly it's hard to tell if some of the issues are how he was written or if it's the narrator. Aside from that it's a good story with lots of stardew, coral island elements that I enjoyed. I liked that there was enough focus on farming g and ranching to make it a farming story while not being the sole focus. I wish there was more mining. I would love to get more details about the mine and caves and what happened in them. Hopefully that happens in future books. In what world is copper an upgrade to iron though. either way if you like farming Sim games you should enjoy this book series.

Good story. MC however

If you like the game starts valley, you'll love this book series. I loved it so much that I went and got the 3rd book on Kindle cause I couldn't wait for it here on audible. I wont give any spoilers but if you enjoyed the first two books of this series, you'll love the 3rd/final book of the series. Thank you so much Tristan Rye for an amazing experience.

Such a Good Series

Thoroughly enjoyable novel, well-written, pure escapism. The Lord Varian was skillfully incorporated--well-plotted. Just the perfect book when there is a need to forget about the "real" world for a time. The narrator is splendidly convincing with all voices, an unusual feat, plus does not detract from the story.

Excellent way to escape reality

I loved the whole concept and the MC. I think at times the story did feel a bit lacking like it was all of a sudden not detailed enough or like it was written as a children's book but that was only sometimes. Overall the story is engaging with great character development and decently detailed lore for understanding the new world. perhaps trying to keep some mystery is what made it feel childish? I'm not 100% sure but I loved it and hope a 3rd book comes out soon

Super cute story!
