Humans went underground to ‘save themselves’ for over twenty years after causing two Great Catastrophes that nearly ended the world. Times are different now. Aodh's Thunder no longer expects him to take a mate, but he must choose someone to carry his offspring. The human who has wandered too far from safety may be his answer—or something more. He knows if he doesn't claim her soon, another on the shifter council will.

Note from the author: This book is part of a serial and should be listened to in order. Cliffhangers in books 1, 2, and 3, but ends with HEA in 4.

I’ve been all in on this story since Kinda Vella - side characters included. I followed the continued roll out on REAM. And I had to join the SMOKE FB group. I have the physical copies of All 4 books in the series. So I had to run the journey back via audio. First thing …I’ve been pronouncing Aodh’s name WRONG 🤭. Second, listening adds another layer to the story. Third the audio heightens certain scenes. I’m ready for the next book to drop. If you love a story of family, community, and rebuilding then you will enjoy Kia & Aodh story.

Sexy, fun, and a GREAT listen!

This is a really fun take on a post-apocalyptic romance! The world building is fresh, the sex steamy, the characters interesting, and the story well paced. But what really makes it outstanding is the narrator! His skill at voicing inner thoughts is outstanding!!! Really brings the characters to life—and the sexy times STEAM! Highly recommend.
