The evil bishop was defeated, and the Trial was completed. Nick rescued the humans of Zura and orcs of Nagduros, and brought them home to his new city–Frosthaven. Together, they formed the reborn Noblefrost Kingdom, with Nick as its king.

But a bandit warlord rules the North from the shadows, and he will not allow a hero in his backyard–unless they are under his heel. Nick and his wives must grow their strength and gather allies, to stand up against this threat.

no complaints, get it. enjoy it. promise it's worth it. no master piece but absolutely worth a credit.

So good. It really clears things up.

Ok, so end of book 1 got a little confusing with all the double reincarnation, but that all gets cleared up in book 2. But book one is a must. Makes book two all the more impactful

Better

Story has been great and love the characters, especially with the va's accents. the regular narration still feels monotone but that just seems to be how she does her work. The spicy scenes sounded better, or at least less repetitive vocabulary than last time. I would invest in dictionary exercises to expand your vocabulary in that department. Also look into synonyms for arching one's eyebrow. "Nick arched his eyebrow at-" was used a lot. I'll continue reading.

very easy to follow along with the story and I was very captivated it was a very good read

It's alright, not great, but alright.

The story kinda gets dull and repetitive. The narrators are still very good, it's just a very slow build story and overall, nothing really important seems to happen. Yes, stuff does happen by the end of the book, but it is such a slow progression that overall nothing seems to really change other than a steady increase in abilities.
