Love Story for Those Who Loves Swords and War

This was a very good story, well written, with engaging characters. As it moves forward, this story slowly draws you in to the characters lives. There’s a tension between the main two characters builds then releases. The story is fast moving, engaging, and kept me consistently entertained.

I believe this was the first book I’ve heard narrated by Evan Morton, and he did a great job. His voicing skills was top-notch.

If you are considering this book, take the chance. I don’t think you will be sorry.

Long but good story

Good fantasy book although long. Makes for good bedtime listening. Like the way women have an important part od the story.

Was surprised by the story, great MC, a fun listen. Looking forward to book 2!

Really enjoyed this one all the way through! Loads of excitement lay ahead and the leading pair will face it head on!

Fun new world

I can be picky about fantasy novels, requiring both plenty of action but also enough world building and character development to keep me interested. Most fantasy authors seem to have one or the other but both is a rare combination in my experience. Robert J Power seems to have found the perfect balance between slowly revealing the history and motivations of his characters, describing his post-apocalyptic world and providing enough action and romance to keep you hanging out for the end of the chapter to find out what happens next!

Euan Morton voices the story nicely, with distinct voices for the characters and different accents as well.

I will definitely be back for the next instalment in the series!
