Wonderful dynamics in a quick heist novel

I came into this expecting a quick, good novel from Kyell, but not necessarily expecting getting attached to the characters as much as established series characters. As usual with stories like these, it goes by quick and ends way too early - I would really, really like to see more stories involving Bryce and Kris. Their dynamic is fantastic, jabbing at each other (usually playfully) and this novel is a great basis for their blossoming relationship, both professional and personal.

This story works well as a standalone, but is also a great base for a series, with plenty of avenues for our characters to go down by the end of this chapter. If there is no more material with these two it would be a shame, but we've been given a good taste at least.

Zetta did an amazing job narrating the story. At the beginning I was a little shaky, but they grew so well into the story and I hate how much I love love their Bryce voice, so smooth and warm, I just want to listen to them talk me down from anything. They also do a great job with Kris, a great voice for a mouse with a playful demeanor that I would very much think I could get well acquainted with. If there happens to be more novels with these two, I so very hope that Zetta comes along for the ride.
