Still Notorious, Radical, and Revolutionary 50 Years Later.
A survival guide from one of the greatest creative organizers of the 20th century—now with a new foreword by co-conspirator, Lisa Fithian.

Throughout the 1960's and 70's, Abbie Hoffman criss-crossed the country, ferreting out alternative ways of getting by in America—some illegal and all radical. Causing scandals with its advice on how to Survive!, Fight!, and Liberate! in the “prison that is Amerika,” Steal This Book is a revolutionary's manual to running a guerilla movement, as well as getting free food, housing, transportation, medical care, and more.

This anniversary edition gives a new generation an insider's view into the movements of the sixties and seventies. While many of the holes in the system that Abbie exposed have since been plugged, the spirit of revolution, the dedication to opposing injustice, and the passion of creative activism continue to inspire today.

This book is outdated yet so relevant. Much respect to the author, you can tell he was dedicated and genuine about everything he did, it shows in this book. Long live Abby, thank you for everything you did for us. I dig.

A survival guide for your morality

I loved all the weird strategies in this book. just bomb making basics and how to start a fake charity to get free food. This was such an eye opener to that period. How to cheat and steal in the 70s. Their dedication to avoid participating in a system that adors sociopathy and malace is something to admire.

great insight into a historic period

If you are looking to learn more about Abby Hoffman's politics this isn't the best place to start. the book is from an era where people could not look things up in their phone in a second. I would say probably 90% of this book is information that the average interested reader would have already looked up themselves elsewhere on a whim. but the idea of living freely is compelling.

Fun but a bit outdated and less serious than I expected.

It was like a textbook for radicals. I tuned out quite a few times. Only listen for the novelty of it.

kinda boring
