Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas author Hunter S. Thompson rocked the literary world with his mind-bending style of Gonzo journalism. First published in 1966, Hell’s Angels is Thompson’s up-close and personal look at the infamous motorcycle gang during the time when its moniker was most feared.

I'd for years misunderstood the Hell's Angels and have recently come to see that things are never what they seem. This was a great look inside a society that's has outcasted itself and branded as dangerous but a closer look will show you something entirely different!

The side of Hell's Angel's shown/image painted gives a perspective that raises questions. A look from inside the club accompanied by mainstream headlines shows how easily lines dividing truth and fiction can be blurred. A strange limbo between a dark truth and an outright lie gives you a chance to come to your own conclusion.

I like it.

I always like any books that shed light on the 70's 80's Hells Angels. They are just a different breed from a crazy culture spawned from the 1st turning of our current cycle. in the next 25 years we will see the repeat of the same thing when large groups of people are left out of the new world and have no choice but to buck the system. Rinse and repeat. Rich get richer and human cant get out of there own way.

Great book.

Watching the movie Rum Diaries inspired me to listen to this. It was well written and interesting. Most of the subject matter was dated and just not that interesting. The last few chapters were the best. The narrator did a bang up job.

Kinda Gonzo
