I enjoyed this book a lot. If you’re not ready to hear the harsh truth then you will probably not like it. He is blunt and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. He uses scientific evidence to support what he’s talking about. I really wish it was narrated by Dr. Ferrari. I heard Dr. Ferrari on a podcast and he has the New York accent and it’s very expressive. This narrator has a monotone voice even when expressing excitement. Other than that excellent book.

Maybe its the procrastinator in me lashing back from the harsh realities thrown at us in this book, but there were times when it felt outdated and irrelevant. ESPECIALLY when referring to technology and procrastination.

Good but outdated

This book gives me a lot of explanations regarding procrastination and provides a path towards improving my ability to step away from procrastinating. I appreciate all of the research that has been done and how well Dr. Ferrari is able to share it. Recommended read for anyone who is concerned with their own procrastination and trying to improve on that for the future.

Definitely helps me understand

A bit of the how-to, and a bit more of the why. Solid material; wide coverage. I give it 4 stars because the areas I found most interesting are the author spent the least amount of time on. But I will be listening to this one again.

Very useful

I recently read something online purporting that “procrastination is just fear”. As a lifelong (high functioning) procrastinator I was keenly aware that such a statement was a gross oversimplification.
This book gave several great insights as well as strategies for overcoming .
