How would your life change...
if you could read another’s thoughts?
If you were the one...
to break the biological code?

Imagine John Grisham meets Michael Crichton in a fast-paced, philosophical mystery thriller.

There’s been a breakthrough on the campus of Caltech. A discovery. An invention. One so startling and surprisingly sinister that the inventor can’t tell a soul.

Designed to delight diehard Tim Tigner fans and new listeners alike, Stolen Thoughts is a cerebral thriller that you will never forget.

Precariously poised at the center of the action is Victoria Pixler, a bioengineering student with a tragic past, a passionate quest, and a brilliant mind. After a decade of dedication, she’s just completed her life’s work only to have her dream shattered and her career terminated - by the least likely suspect. Meanwhile, propelling the thrills from the middle of the mystery is one of humanity’s great questions: Would the power to read minds be a blessing, or a curse?

Packed with enlightened anecdotes, amusing quips, and suspense that will rivet listeners to their chairs, this novel delivers Tigner’s trademark fast-paced action and first-class intellectual intrigue - from characters you can’t forget.

Prepare for sleep-deprived nights while repeating the phrase: "Just a few minutes more."

I loved the premise of this novel and was completely engulfed by the end of the first chapter. But, here's the thing, some writers give just the right amount of detail and some give too much. There are others who don't give enough. Tigner would present a lot of information in one chapter and then almost none in another. The book felt inconsistent to me in this way. At times, while reading, I remember thinking to myself that it was just bullet points and that I somehow downloaded the abridged version; details were skimmed over, events unfolded with too little background; how those events even became possible at all eluded me and were never explained.

Still, even with my criticism, the book was exciting and very VERY interesting. The topic of mind reading was one that I've never read about before in a book of fiction. I really liked the way that Tigner developed the major arch of the story and how he created a heroin who is part villain. There are no real good guys in this book just better ones.

The narration was a little weird to me but also really enjoyable. I both loved the narrators voice and delivery and simultaneously disliked it. Is that even possible, you may ask? Apparently it is.

Very VERY interesting and intriguing book.

I was really worried about the narrator, but, he quicy changed my mind. I loved all his voices and narration. I also thought the storyline was really very good. Kept me listening!
The glimpse at the new title, Pushing Brilliance, was not so interesting and that narrator sounded very old and boring.
