God has blessed Hezekiah; his kingdom is flourishing. The people are prospering and the city of Jerusalem is safe from invaders. But the king worries that his beloved wife may be barren. After all his hard work in preserving the faith and protecting the faithful, the thought that one of his pagan-worshiping nephews will become ruler is upsetting. But he suffers greater anguish when he stumbles upon the secrets of his queen.©2005 Lynn Austin (P)2007 Recorded Books Inspiring Biblical Fiction

Oh my goodness what a great series. God always keeps His promises and we get the blessings when we repent and ask for forgiveness.

The Strength of His Hand by Lynn Austin is the third book in the Chronicles of the Kings series, which follows the life of King Hezekiah of Judah. The book covers the events of 2 Kings 18-20, 2 Chronicles 32, and Isaiah 36-39, when Hezekiah faced a deadly illness and a siege by the Assyrian army.

Positives: The book is well-written and engaging, with vivid descriptions of the historical and cultural settings. The author does a good job of portraying the characters' emotions, struggles, and faith journeys. The book also shows how God's grace and power can work in the midst of human weakness and sin.

Negatives: The book takes some liberties with the biblical account, adding some fictional details and characters that are not found in the original sources. Some readers may find this distracting or inaccurate. The book also has some scenes of violence and sexual content that may not be suitable for younger or sensitive readers.

The story was amazing! A beautiful end to an amazing series! I loved that such a small section of the Bible was brought to life as an entire story of what might have been. It made Hezekiah's story all that more wonderful in my mind.

Great story
