According to Warren Wiersbe, The Supremacy of God in Preaching ''calls us back to a biblical standard for preaching, a standard exemplified by many of the pulpit giants of the past, especially Jonathan Edwards and Charles Spurgeon.''

This newly revised edition is an essential guide for preachers who want to stir the embers of revival. Piper focuses his study on the example of Jonathan Edwards as an illustration of a leader who submitted to God.

Great book! The narrator was too monotone for my liking, but enjoyed the info!

Great information!

I absolutely love this book. Piper's argument and content are convincing and compelling. The reading of this was not quite what it could be, but it was reliable and effective. The review of Jonathan Edwards life and theology was extremely inspiring. I am changed because of it.

My new favourite book.

The "revised and expanded edition" has four more chapters, 8-11. This "revised edition" (audio) has only chapters 1-7 and conclusion. The last four chapters are missing.

Every person called into the ministry needs to read this book! Piper very effectively lays out, first through a "Trinitarian" outline and then through the life and doctrine of Jonathan Edwards, to take the calling of God seriously, understanding the gravity of preaching the Word.

Very good!

If you aim to preach for God's glory and the joy of his people and yours, this book is for you. Brief, on point, deeply profound.
Jonathan Edwards' life serves as an example to show us the kind of preaching we ought to employ (not today's garbage).
The reader/narrator did a good job too.

God is supreme! Edwards is a good example.
