Great Story but...

I enjoyed the story but fear the writer lost his way. The series is supposed to be about an apocalyptic event created by an EMP. It became a mystery novel.

Sorry, but I'm just not happy with Brook's character. She was whiny, asked irrelevant or obvious questions, and was hard to like at times.

God I've NEVER wanted to KILL A CHARACTER BEFORE

I tried I really tried to finish this series. First time I never finished a series before, I've listened to books that were written by horrible authors, that were even worse than this and I listened to them. I have to believe that the author purposely wrote Brook to be a completely annoying over the top Uber whiny person to the point where the most entertaining part of this last book I listened to was when they put a gage in Brooks mouth, followed by the worst part when they pulled the gage out. the story wasn't bad but I just couldn't take it anymore her speaking was just to much. the narrator sucks absolutely sucked at women's voices they all sounded the same. honesty save your money and find something else.

Storyline keeps repeating…

I really like the author but this series is getting painful to listen too.
I’m not sure if it’s the narrator’s impersonation of the wife Brooke or just the character itself. As listening I kept hoping she would just get knocked off. Very whiny and no substance. Just my 2 cents.
