Now Freddie is back, and the earl finds her presence unsettling in more ways than one.

Love love love the romance

I love the romantic scenes in this book. But the hero saves the weakling girl happens 3 times in this book, that it's a bit too much coincidence. She's saved 2 more times by another woman. That's too much of being saved by other people. The heroine seems rather useless other than being mischievous. I'm not sure what the moral of the story is.

This was a very sweet and amusing story. The heroine was lovably naive. The Narrator was outstanding

This book was fun, light entertainment.
The narration was excellent. Marion Chesney's books are the type of stories that help me to reduce stress.
A pleasant listen with plenty of interesting plot twists to keep your attention.

Okay

Thjs story is slightly farcical and includes an evil suitor to the ward's lord, which is made obvious from the start. Not Beaton's best but worth a listen in the escape package.

there was absolutely no reason for Freddy to be attracted to burham. he treated her Horribly the entire time. also, there were too many villains.
