Thomas Bennett, the master of Longbourn estate, found the things his father had told him just before he died, incredibly hard to believe. He could not fathom a man such as his own father, a man of sense and sensibility, to actually even consider such tales as he had told to his only son.
Werewolves!
The Bennett’s are from a long line of these creatures of fantasy and legend? Hogwash! He was certain of it! But then suddenly he had no other choice but to believe, as his cousin came into his life and made of him a believer. As he, himself gave Thomas the BITE, transforming him into a Bennett Wolf, thusly, he was changed from Thomas Bennett gentleman farmer, to Thomas Bennett, ALPHA Wolf.
Over the years, and after the Bennett’s are blessed with five daughters, they become known as being able to find people who are lost. As only they were able to find and return several ladies of the nobility to their families, without creating a scandal. They were then called upon to rescue the niece of the prominent Lady Matlock, a woman who is known in the Ton, for her ‘feelings’ that often come to pass.
And that is how eventually the Bennett's of Longbourn meet the Darcy’s of Pemberley. Fitzwilliam Darcy comes to Meryton after his sister makes a narrow escape from known and unknown enemies. He is not happy and does not yet know who the Bennett's of Longbourn are. Of course he makes his usual mistakes and blunders, and Caroline Bingley, her sister and Mr. Hurst are dangerously horrible in every way. Especially during their time in Meryton and even more so after they take their leave.
The Bennett's become aware that the ladies they have been rescuing, are a part of a heinous plot, thought up by members of the Brimstone Club. It is a centuries old secret society, filled with only the highest level of the nobility.
Thomas after doing a tremendous amount of research learns, each of the ladies who were and are missing, are not only of the nobility, they are all from the line of Were’s. As the pieces of the puzzle continue coming together, everyone who has gathered become more and more frightened and concerned. As they are being hunted and attacked on all sides, by people who are known to them, as well as the minions of the Brimstone Club.
As they gather more allies, an unexpected one comes to them, who they fear even more so than the members of the Brimstone Club, for he is Evil, with a capital E!
Will the Bennett’s and their allies be able to stop the gathering storm? Will they be able to defeat the Brimstone's Club blood thirty members? Will family and friends steal all that they own? Will they survive the rising of the ancient enemy? Well, will they?

Interesting!!

I must confess I avoided this book because it involved werewolves, but since I absolutely love this author’s books I decided to give it a try. I was NOT disappointed!!! Fantastic story and not at all scary. So, if you are a little hesitant about exploring this book don’t worry you will enjoy!! Then check out all the other book by the Selene Garrou.

The story is fantastic.

I’ve read this story a few times over and it still grabs my attention. When I saw the audio version, I was very excited even though it was done by virtual voice. I enjoyed it but it was definitely not as good as it could have been if done by a human.
