Moving, memorable and a mirror for anyone who’s craving their own company, Table For One is a story about what it means to be happily alone, not lonely.

If in doubt, date yourself…

Willow has everything worked out.

*The steady partner

*The successful career

*The grown-up house

Until she doesn’t – and she’s cast adrift on the sea of heartbreak, grieving a future that’s barely begun.

With her life transformed beyond recognition, and her friends busy ‘moving forwards’, Willow has never felt more alone.

But she’s in good company.

And when inspiration arrives from an unlikely source, she rekindles the relationship she longs for – but has long neglected… The one with herself…

I read 50 ish books a year and this will absolutely be top 5 for me. It’s the kind of fiction I wish every book would be.

Sally Rooney but so much better.

Honestly started this book with high hopes based on reviews I’ve seen online. Grew frustrated with willow almost immediately! I do not believe in quitting books so I was prepared to push through but then it snapped into place for me. The reason I was so frustrated and irritated with willow was because she was reflecting something that I was frustrated with myself. Truly the book is well written and engaging. Willow is enough of a complex character to make you want to throw a drink at her but also hold her hand while quietly sitting at the beach with Carla.

It grows on you
