I really wanted to like this

I love me a good mofia romance and had high hopes. this is my first time with this author and narrator.
I really struggled getting through this book.it couldn't hold my attention and I almost returned it multiple time. however I am not sure if it was due to the writing or the narrator. the FMC voice made me cringe and I struggled listening to it. the rest of the voices were great but given the majority of the book is in view of the FMC. I struggled and I could not get lost in the book. I will probably get a different book by this author but differnt narrator to give their writing style another chance. However everyone has different preferences so I don't want to steer anyone away from the book just a caution for anyone that a narrator makes or breaks a book - maybe listen to a few different samples from this narrator before hand.

dark, intense

Piper Stone. What can I say? Her stories are full of mystery, lies, betrayal, steamy hot sex. And this one definitely does not disappoint. It's action packed with twists and turns.
This story is dark, clouded with bribery, a secret sect, political deals and an unwanted arranged marriage.
Thomas Locklear is a phenomenal talented voice performer. Not just a narrator. A performer of epic proportions. His portryal of Winter is sexy, sultry, soft. I was looking for a 2nd narrator for her voice. Nope, It's all Thomas. And his voice of Matteo is just wow! He just oozes confidence and sex. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

Delicious!

I loved every minute of this hot story. It had emotions and feelings to keep you up for everything that happened.
If you haven’t listened to this hot sexy voice of Thomas Locklear, you have missed out!! His narration of this one will melt you even in the snow.

Good

The male narrator was great but not really impressed with the female narrator. I don't care for the whisper narration.

Story was interesting, but need more detail and depth.

I will admit I was a little skeptical in the beginning but the story won me over, it was a good book and would listen again!
