Many of us have not had healthy relationships with ourselves or with others. In this story, we hear Julee's perception of her life experiences. She is in her late 30s, and is relearning how to love after a series of traumatic episodes that threaten her possibility of ever finding love or happiness again.

This story, although fictional, is based on real events. Therefore, the author is in no way minimizing any of the issues discussed in this book, and absolutely does not blame anyone who has experienced unfortunate events or some of the tragedies the characters in this story face.
